Friday January 13, 2012 around 10:00 PM, police searched for a missing 19 year old after he was hit by a car on route 33 in Hamilton Township. PSAR was called to assist at 7:00 AM on Sunday, January 15, 2012. The subject was located at 9:45 AM 22 ft from where he was hit by car.

State Police say a 25 year old male went missing Monday night from his home on Forest Road in Jefferson Township. Dozens of First Responders and Firefighters searched for and found him unharmed around 5pm Tuesday. On October 15, 2011 at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Pocono Search and Rescue will hold a public tribute and memorial service for Deputy Chief Rick Marshall of Pocono SAR who recently passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 57 . The tribute will highlight Rick’s life and celebrate the time we shared with him. A tribute service with guest speakers will share their memories of Rick followed by a short memorial movie presented by the members of Pocono SAR. This will be held at the Monroe County Public Safety Center ( Fire Academy) in Snydersville, PA.We wish to invite you, your families and friends to come help us celebrate the memories of our friend, fellow SAR team mate and former Marine Deputy Chief Rick Marshall. Please feel to pass this on to anyone and everyone.Pocono Search and Rescue and Northeast Search and Rescue were requested by PEMA for water rescue and flood evacuation deployment in the Great Bend/ Hallstead, Pa area.
NESAR responded with 6 personnel and 5 boats. PSAR responded with 3 additional water rescue technicians for additional support. The combined teams performed 14 assginments rescuing people from their homes and transporting them to a place of safety where they were assisted by the local fire departments. WNEP TV 16 caught up with the rescue crews in action: A job well done by all. Everyone came home safe and proudly served the Commonwealth of PA yet again. PSAR is preparing its Water Rescue personnel and equipment in anticipation of Hurricane Irene.
Personnel have been put on standby and equipment is being readied. Chief Rudolph has already been in contact with the Office of Emergency Services in Monroe County and has discussed possible response criteria for the county. Chief Rudolph is also speaking with other entities for the possibilities of an out of state response. Whatever the need, PSAR will be there to take on the mission. 8/01/2011 PSAR was dispatched to assist Brownsdale Fire Dept to locate a missing pregnant female. She was located successfully.
7/29/2011 PSAR was dispatched to assist White Haven officials to locate a 2 1/2 year old child. Child was located successfully.
7/6/2011 PSAR was dispatched to assist DCNR in locating a missing 15 year old female. The subject was rescued safely.
PSAR was called 2:15 AM to help search for 3 missing persons in Tobyhanna Township. Terrain was rough and under a steady rain fall. All 3 persons were rescued safely during early morning hours.
May 29, 2011- PSAR Water Rescue Team was called to assist Lehigh County to search for a missing woman believed to be in the Lehigh river.
