On October 15, 2011 at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Pocono Search and Rescue will hold a public tribute and memorial service for Deputy Chief Rick Marshall of Pocono SAR who recently passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 57 . The tribute will highlight Rick’s life and celebrate the time we shared with him. A tribute service with guest speakers will share their memories of Rick followed by a short memorial movie presented by the members of Pocono SAR. This will be held at the Monroe County Public Safety Center ( Fire Academy) in Snydersville, PA.We wish to invite you, your families and friends to come help us celebrate the memories of our friend, fellow SAR team mate and former Marine Deputy Chief Rick Marshall. Please feel to pass this on to anyone and everyone.PSAR is raffling off a brand new 55″ VIZIO LED LCD HDTV with WIFI. 1st prize valued at $1400.
2nd prize: $100.00 store gift card. 3rd Prize: $50.00 restaurant gift card. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20. Please see a team member for tickets. Proceeds from this raffle are being used to pay for the medical expenses for our K9 units. A random drawing will be held on November 9, 2011 at the Monroe County Public Safety Center, during our monthly membership meeting. Winners don’t need to be present to win. Pocono SAR will be at the TEXAS ROADHOUSE in Stroudsburg for a one night fundraising event.
